Jenna and James celebrated their love with a sweet and heartfelt ceremony at the Artesian in Regina. The wedding party entered the hall carrying chalkboard signs donning song lyrics from Edward Sharp and the Magnetic Zero's song, "Home". Jenna followed with her father and adorable daughter. The couple said their vows, exchanged rings, sealed a wine box of love letters, and shared their first kiss as a married couple. The celebration started immediately with a champagne toast to the bride and groom.
As guests enjoyed themselves, we headed out for formal photos. The wind was doing it's best to chase us indoors, but we found shelter in the industrial area of Regina. Later we headed out to U-Snap Studios and things got silly pretty quick. It turns out when you are given free range of a studio with a plethora of goofy props, hilarity will ensue.
As the evening approached, we traveled to the Conexus Arts Centre for the reception. Jenna and James were treated to many great toasts, but the most memorable was definitely her bridesmaids 90's pop inspired duet. Congratulations Jenna and James! We wish you a lifetime of happiness.
On August 16, 2014, Megan and Stephen tied the knot. It was grey and rainy while Megan had her makeup done at Blush Beauty Bar. The skies finally started to clear by mid afternoon, just in time for a beautiful ceremony at Kiwanis Park. After some family photos we headed to Wascana Park and Darke Hall for formal photos. The fun continued at the reception which was held at the Italian Club. Congratulations Megan and Stephen!
Tess and Anton tied the knot on a gorgeous March afternoon. In a month full of snowfall and freezing rain, we lucked out with a perfect afternoon! I was thrilled to start the wedding season off on a day like this.
Tess and Anton were married at the Celebration Lutheran Church. The pastor performing the nuptuals is a good friend of Anton's, making the ceremony extra special. Anton was born in Netherlands and later moved to Canada. Several relatives and groomsmen were able to make the trip from overseas, but for those who couldn't make it to Canada, a live webstream of the ceremony was provided. I though that was a very nice gesture and great way to share your day with friends and family from afar.
After the ceremony we had a great afternoon of picture taking. We spent time in front of the marina at Wascana, the Bushwakkers walkway, and a welding shop. The afternoon was fun and relaxed. We had plenty of time for formal and fun photos!
Congratulations/Gefeliciteerd (that's Dutch!) Tess and Anton! Ward and I wish you much happiness!
Erin and Bryce shared their wedding vows on a warm and windy September afternoon. Erin and her three closest friends helped each other with hair and makeup in Erin’s childhood home. At Salon Fli, Erin’s hair dresser fastened a vintage inspired bird cage veil. It went perfectly with the tea length wedding dress and the bridesmaid’s mix-matched dresses.During the ceremony Erin and Bryce shared sweet personalized vows while their guests passed around the wedding bands and gleaned their positive sentiments onto the rings, blessing them. The barn at Sherwood Forest was full of love that afternoon.
The wind calmed down a little in time for formal photos. Erin and Bryce walked along some train tracks on the outskirts of Regina. The rest of the wedding party joined us back at Sherwood forest where we explored a field on the edge of the valley. The fall really does beautiful things to the colors there. We found ourselves back at the big red barn for the reception. After supper and speaches, the happy couple ended their first dance with a dramatic dip. Congratulations Erin and Bryce!
