On a pleasant day in June, Lacey and Nick said their vows at the Westminster church in front of their closest friends and family. We had a great afternoon taking photos around Wascana Lake and finished off our afternoon on top of Douglas Park Hill, one of Lacey's favorite spots in the city. Although we needed to use our umbrellas at our first location, the rain seemed to hold up until we were ready to head to the Conexus Art Center for dinner and reception. Thanks, mother nature!
Congratulations Lacey and Nick. We wish you a lifetime of happiness!
Stef decided to celebrate her leap year birthday with a fun pin-up inspired cake smash. Naturally we had to include some wine for the celebratory occasion. Really isn't that all any one wants on their birthday? Cake and wine...yum! We also took advantage of the great weather and got some super cute photos of her boys and husband, Todd. The Wakefields have been loyal clients since I started my photography business and it's always a pleasure to catch up with them and see their growing family. Happy Birthday Stef!!
I am so excited for my friends, Lindsay and Alex. They are expecting the newest member of the family, who is currently only known as "Rotini", to arrive around February 20th. I met Lindsay through Roller Derby. During our photoshoot, Lindsay confessed how much she has missed playing and can't wait to get back on her skates once baby arrives. Good thing PBDC makes onesies because little Rotini is going to have a busy summer cheering for mom at her derby bouts. Lindsay and Alex also have two adorable Beagles who seem to be excited to be big sisters very soon. I am very excited for baby to arrive. Congratulations Lindsay and Alex! You guys are going to be wonderful parents.
Now that Christmas is over I can finally post some Mead family photos. These guys decided to surprise their mom with some framed photos of themselves. I'm pretty sure any mom would love to receive photos as a gift. Something to keep in mind for next Christmas! Thanks for the fun shoot Mead Family (and girlfriends)!
In January of 2015, I started a 52 Week Photo Challenge. It was meant to be a playful way to document a very pivotal year in my life. I think it's really cool to see everything laid out this way. This was definitely the hardest year of my life with my dad passing in September, but I'm very glad I did this project because it reminds me of all the awesome people in my life who's love and support has helped me through it all.
